A Night to Remember: Mozart meets Gospel
What a wonderful evening! Our Daughters of Penelope Christmas Concert at the historic Peterskirche in the heart of Vienna was a great success. We filled the Peterskirche to maximum capacity, while bringing the joy of our “Mozart Meets Gospel” Christmas concert to an emotionally riveted audience, that sang and clapped along with us.

From Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, beautifully performed by the Wiener Konzertvereinigung under the direction of David Ricardo Salazar, Alexander Steinberger on Violin and Daniel Melguizo-Martinez, Viola, to uplifting Gospel Christmas songs led by our talented DOP president, Althea-Maria Papoulias and an outstanding vocal ensemble, Beverly Minor, Enock Bigirimana, Irina Dankevic, Piano and our lovely sister Julie Anastassiou, Percussion – the music inspired hope, harmony, and celebration.
We are especially grateful to our musicians and singers, but also to all our DOP sisters, who all volunteered their time and exceptional talent, making this charity concert truly special. Their dedication, together with the enthusiastic and generous audience, turned the evening into a powerful expression of community and giving.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us in this busy Christmas time and made a donation to our philanthropic mission.
